The Academy of Russian Ballet was founded by Yuri and Jasmine Nikitenko in 2006. Classes started in the rented room of a church and ARB has now grown to include two studio locations in Manassas and Herndon VA. The Northern Virginia Ballet (NVB) and its affiliate school The Academy of Russian Ballet (ARB), provides area students with professional performing experience and exposure to original choreographic pieces. ARB’s curriculum is designed to provide students of all ages with developmentally appropriate training in classical ballet as well as other dance genres. Students in the Pre-Professional division have opportunities to work with acclaimed guest artists and nationally recognized contemporary choreographers, all in a professional environment created specifically for their needs as growing and maturing artists.
